Manage expired memberships

Learn how to manage expired memberships on Wajooba.

Your students won’t lose their access when their membership expires. Regardless, it’s best that you frequently check the status of their memberships to avoid or minimize payment delays and lapses. This helps you ensure the continued revenue from sharing your expertise through your brand.


What happens when a membership expire?

Your students won’t lose their access when their membership expires. However, you’ll see the status of their membership as expired. This status should reflect on the following:

  • Attendees tab from the Courses menu
  • Attendance Register of classes and events
  • Memberships tab from the student’s profile

How can I set up the expiration date for my students' memberships?

You can set up the expiration date every time you process membership payments for your students. During the checkout, you’ll have an option to edit the expiration date for the membership.

If you need to review a student membership’s expiration date, follow these steps.

  1. Go to Contacts.
  2. Using the search box, find your student using their name, email address, or phone number.
  3. Go to Memberships

The Expiration Date column should list the expiration date for all memberships your students enrolled for.

How can I update or adjust the expiration date?

If there has been a mistake and you need to adjust the expiration date of the membership, follow these steps.

  1. Go to Contacts.
  2. Using the search box, find your student using their name, email address, or phone number.
  3. Go to Memberships
  4. Under the Action column, select the pencil icon to edit the expiration date.
  5. Make your changes in the Start Period or Expiry Period fields.
  6. Select Submit.

How should I manage expired memberships?

We highly recommend that you frequently check if students’ memberships have expired to avoid or minimize payment delays and lapses. 

When a membership expires, updating or adjusting a membership’s expiration date will only ensure that its status remains “active.”

Though students have continued access to the course, class, or event, we recommend that you process a new membership for them and change the membership showing on the course or the Attendance Register. This helps you ensure the continued revenue from sharing your expertise through your brand.
